Privacy Policy
Version 1.1 · Last updated October 11, 2026
- The website has no accounts, ads, tracking or cookies.
- If you use the version vote, we keep a scrambled code (not your IP address) for one day so each person votes once a day.
- When you buy, Lemon Squeezy handles your payment. We get your email and order details so we can deliver updates and help you, never your card details.
- The mod keeps your settings on your own computer.
- To show real skins and capes, the mod asks Mojang and capes.me about player names you look up.
This summary is only to help you read. The full policy below is what counts.
1. Who we are
This website and the Larp Mod Minecraft mod (together, the "Service") are made and run by temupookie ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information is involved when you use the Service and what choices you have. Where data protection law (such as the EU or UK GDPR) applies, we are the "controller" of the small amount of information described here.
2. The website
- No cookies or tracking. The website doesn't use cookies, analytics, ads, tracking pixels or social media plug-ins. It doesn't load fonts or scripts from other companies, except Lemon Squeezy's checkout (only after you click Buy) and Cloudflare Turnstile (only after you vote, see below).
- Version vote. The home page has an optional vote ("Which version do you play?"). When you vote, we store which version you picked as part of an anonymous total. To stop people voting more than once a day, our server mixes your IP address with a secret key and the date and turns it into a scrambled code (a "hash"). We store only that code, never your IP address, and the code can't be turned back into your IP address. We delete these codes after the day is over. Your browser also remembers on your own device that you voted today, so the buttons stay locked until tomorrow; this is not a cookie and is never sent to us. To block bots, voting may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you're a person and is covered by Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice. We also count vote attempts per scrambled code for a few minutes to stop spam, then delete those counts.
- Live demo. The 3D demo on the home page shows official Minecraft capes by loading their pictures directly from Mojang's texture server (textures.minecraft.net), the same place the game gets them. Like any image request, this lets Mojang see your IP address. When you type a username into the demo, your browser asks the public lookup service playerdb.co for that player's skin, then loads the skin from Mojang's texture server. playerdb.co sees the username, and both see your IP address. We don't receive or store anything you type in the demo.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, the company that hosts this site may automatically record basic technical information when your browser asks for a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time. These logs are used only to deliver the site and keep it secure, and the host deletes them on its normal schedule.
- No forms. The website has no sign-up, login or contact forms, so we don't receive names, emails or passwords through it.
- Hosting. The website runs on Cloudflare, which delivers the pages and protects the site from attacks.
2a. When you buy
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller ("merchant of record"). When you click Buy now, the website loads Lemon Squeezy's checkout on top of the page; nothing is loaded from Lemon Squeezy before you click. Lemon Squeezy collects what it needs to take your payment and handle tax, such as your name, email address, country and payment details, under its own privacy policy. It shares with us your email address, name (if given), country, what you bought, the price and the date. It does not share your card or bank details with us.
We use this to deliver the mod and updates, handle refunds and support, prevent fraud and license abuse, and keep the records that tax law requires. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, then delete them. We don't send marketing emails unless you agree to them.
3. The mod
Stored on your computer. Your Larp Mod settings, looks, skins, capes, ghosts and backups are saved in your own Minecraft folder. They are not sent to us. You can delete them at any time by deleting the mod's files in .minecraft/config.
Lookups to other services. When you use features that show a real player's skin or capes (such as Become, Fake Name, or giving a skin to a player), the mod sends that player name or player ID to:
- Mojang / Microsoft (api.mojang.com, api.minecraftservices.com and sessionserver.mojang.com) to find the player's skin and cape;
- capes.me to find which official capes that player owns.
Like any internet request, these services can see your IP address. The mod doesn't send them your settings or anything else about you. Their own privacy policies apply to these requests. Results are kept on your computer for a short time so the mod doesn't ask again and again.
Not sent to servers. Disguises, ghosts and other changes are shown only on your screen. The mod doesn't send them to the Minecraft server you're playing on.
Share codes and backups are files and text you create and choose to share yourself. Anyone you send them to can see what's in them, like look names, skins and capes.
4. Contacting us
If you message us on Discord, we'll see your Discord username and what you send, and we'll use it only to reply and to improve the mod. Discord's own privacy policy applies to messages sent through Discord.
5. Why we use information (legal basis)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we use order information to carry out our contract with you (delivering what you bought) and to meet legal duties (tax records). Otherwise, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a working, secure website and mod, keeping the version vote fair and free of spam, preventing fraud, and answering people who contact us. The player lookups happen only when you use a feature that needs them.
6. Selling and sharing
We don't sell personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build profiles about you.
7. Children
The Service is for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK, California or other U.S. states), you may have the right to ask what personal information we have about you, to correct or delete it, to object to how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We don't keep personal information about website visitors, and for buyers we keep only the order details described above. Tax law may require us to keep some order records even if you ask us to delete them. We won't treat you differently for asking.
9. International users
Our store provider and the services listed above may process information in other countries, including the United States. They are responsible for protecting it under their own policies.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Big changes will also be noted on the home page.
11. Contact
Questions about privacy, or want to use one of your rights? Message temupookie on Discord.
